I eat a lot of hot wings.  I just can’t get enough of them!  I started writing food reviews over on Yelp and quickly noticed that hot wings dominated my content.  With wing joins on just about every corner here in Memphis, I will never run out of new places to try.  When ever I visit a restaurant with wings on the menu I have a hard time ordering anything else.  I keep a running list on my iPhone of wings to try and wings already tried.  I don’t know of anyone else who does that.

People are often surprised to learn that I hot wings so often because they don’t understand how I can stay so small eating fried meat covered in buttery sauce and dipped in full fat dressing.  Well, I believe I keep my girlish (chicky) figure by eating plenty of animal fat and avoiding starch and sugar.  No Joke.  I’ve been eating this way for about 15 years and it works out great for me.

Over the years it has been suggested by my friends and family that I start blogging about my obsession.  Probably because I am so opinionated about what makes a good wing and I am always enthusiastic with recommendations when asked.  So here I am… Sharing my winged adventures good, bad, or ugly with the interwebs!

Living in Memphis I will of course post a lot of reviews for Memphis area wings, but I also eat wings when I travel and will post about those too.  If you catch me on Yelp you will see that I do eat food other than hot wings.  This carnivore loves her some burgers and BBQ!  Just hold the bun and sauce please.

  1. You know I have a obsession with good “Buffalo” wings being from NY and I have been following your advice when it comes to wings here for years….keep up the good work..even though none of the wings compare to the holy mecca of Buffalo lol…I enjoy the hunt

    • Actually, fried meat is right on the mark for my typical diet. I avoid sugar and grains. I don’t shy away from fried meals as long as the meat is not breaded.
